Our service style is professional but relaxed. You’ll be the welcoming and friendly face of Experienced Tours and your destination
An in-depth knowledge of your local history & culture
Answer curve-ball questions and give tour guests a detailed insight into your destinations’ past, present and future
Licenses & permits to operate locally
You will need any mandated qualifications and we’ll work with you to understand any regulatory approval that is required before you start
Ability to take private groups into sights
Where possible you will take tour guests into monuments and attractions and be able to provide an end-to-end guiding service
Fluent in English
96% of our clients are native English speakers (and 100% speak English) so you’ll need to be fluent in English

There are many attributes to being a private tour guide and no two are alike. But we are looking for guides to join Experienced Tours who meet the following criteria
- At least 3 years tour guiding experience (doesn’t have to be private tours)
- A strong knowledge of destinations and attractions within the region you operate
- The knowledge to avoid tourist traps and provide an authentic local experience
- A genuinely friendly and welcoming individual
- A storyteller who can bring characters and events from history to life
- A strong knowledge of the history and culture of their country
- The ability to think on their feet and respond to client requests
- Non-smoker
