Haddo House, a grand stately home in Aberdeenshire is a testament to both architectural brilliance and historical significance. Designed by the renowned William Adam in 1732, the house showcases the elegance of Palladian architecture. However, it was later transformed in the 1880s, blending Georgian charm with a luxurious Victorian interior.  

The house also boasts a fascinating history, having served as a maternity hospital during World War II, where over 1,200 babies were born. Today, Haddo House is owned by the National Trust for Scotland and welcomes visitors to explore its opulent rooms, admire its art collection, and stroll through its beautiful gardens.

One of Haddo House’s unique features is its collection of 85 paintings depicting Aberdeenshire castles by the Victorian artist James Giles. These artworks offer a glimpse into the region’s rich heritage.
