Cairn Distillery
In the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, the Cairn Distillery is a new home for adventure seekers and whisky lovers to discover and enjoy the best of Scotland. Experience awe-inspiring views, passionate people, and unforgettable tastes and flavours shaped by the untamed wilderness around you.
Sustainable production practices are what Cairn Distillery is all about. To ensure a sustainable future for future generations, the distillery sources local ingredients and uses renewable energy sources to minimise its environmental impact.
Gordon & MacPhail own the Cairn Distillery, a fourth-generation family business founded in 1922. They’ve grown to become wholesalers, bottlers, and distillers. Despite their growth, they’ve always remained a family-owned business that’s rooted in the community.
Taking a guided tour at Cairn Distillery, learn how whisky is made, from malting, mashing, fermentation, and distillation. Visitors can observe whisky maturing in oak casks, take in the evocative aromas, and marvel at how the whisky transforms over time while exploring the atmospheric warehouses and interactive sensory spaces.
