ALEXANDER (SANDY)

I am a proud Scot and love showing people around the best wee country in the world! When I first moved to Edinburgh from the country near Stirling to work for a pension fund manager. In 2008 I realised that the corporate life wasn’t for me and I set out on a career in tourism showing people the almost infinite combinations of places to see in Scotland!

Every day is different on tour and I love meeting people from around the world, sharing my experience and knowledge of Scotland past and present.

My favourite place in Scotland is Stirling Castle. It is a fascinating insight in Scotland’s monarchy and how they shaped Scotland in the 16th century into the modern country we are proud to call home. It also has amazing views!

DEBBIE

Hi I’m Debbie, originally from North Berwick around 30 miles east of Edinburgh, I have called Edinburgh my home for over 30 years! Being a tour guide is my passion and I am super-proud of showing off Scotland to our lovely international guests. Where to start? There is so much to see, learn and have fun along the road.

One of the best things about my career as a tour guide has to be those unexpected moments, spotting wildlife, meeting local folk in the places we visit and learning about my guests life and often their ancestral connection to Scotland!

My favourite place to visit has to be my home town of North Berwick in East Lothian. Situated on the coast, it has a quaint fishing harbour, artisan high street and (if you’re feeling adventurous) the hike up North Berwick Law offers views for 30 miles in all directions!
